These thing are pretty much standard on most cars the the alarm sensor every car has that fitted as you have to be able to deactivate internal sensors on cars if you are travelling on boats or trains or if you leave animals in the cars or on stormy nights that might move car or your sleeping in the car. All of those rust inhibitor modules are just snake oil. Electricity finds the shortest path to ground - which is the battery's negative terminal on negatively-grounded vehicles. So there will be a single path with a *lowered* corrosion risk, Meanwhile, all of the electronics in your car are already doing the same with their standby power. And notice... LOWERED risk. We still see plenty of corrosion on power connections all the time...
